Chart-toppers Peter Gabriel and Sting are set to hit the road together this year in a 19-city concert tour in the U.S. and Canada in the summer.

Dubbed "Rock Paper Scissors," the North American concert tour will begin on June 21 in Columbus, Ohio and will end on July 24 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, according to the New York Daily News.

Gabriel and Sting will perform both separately and together all throughout the show. This isn't the first time they have shared a tour, having done so back in the 80's for Amnesty International.

"I'm very happy that we're taking the chance to experiment this way. I think people will be intrigued, I certainly am," Sting said in a statement, according to ABC News.

"What intrigues me is that you get a good bunch of musicians together and interesting things will happen," Gabriel said.

Both artists were part of popular bands from the 70's, with Sting leading The Police while Gabriel founded Genesis. Over the years, the two have been focusing on side projects but have remained active.

As a solo artist, Gabriel concentrated on experimentation. He founded the Womad festival as well as a record company called Real World Records.

Meanwhile, Sting became involved in a Broadway musical called "The Last Ship" just recently, receiving mixed reviews, according to AFP.
