The Critics' Choice Awards on Sunday was a memorable award show for "The Big Bang Theory" star Mayim Bialik who nabbed her first ever award at the event, according to Entertainment Tonight

Bialik, 40, won the award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Amy Farrah Fowler in the comedy series and dedicated the honor to her late father, Barry Bialik, who passed away in April 2015.

"The reason I look so surprised is I've actually never won anything,'" the actress said to the crowd as she took the stage, according to Daily Mail. "Thank you to our amazing writers, thank you to our cast, to Chuck Lorre and Steve Molaro and Bill Prady. Thank you. I literally didn't prepare anything, I've never won anything. I didn't think I'd be up here."

"My dad died nine and a half months ago, and he was my harshest critic and he never lived to see me win anything," Bialik continued. "So Abba [daddy] this is for you."

The actress, who plays Jim Parsons' on-screen love interest on the show, was singled out as the winner among the likes of Kether Donohue ("You're the Worst"), Allison Janney ("Mom"), Judith Light ("Transparent"), Niecy Nash ("Getting On") and Eden Sher ("The Middle"), as HNGN previously reported.
