Matthew Perry broke the heart of millions of "Friends" fans earlier this week when it was revealed the actor would not be attending the upcoming reunion of the beloved show. The actor appeared on "The Graham Norton Show" on Friday and discussed the cast reunion and even took a "Friends" quiz.

"It's not the reunion everyone is hoping for. They are celebrating Jim Burrows, who was a director of Friends," Perry said during the BBC show, according to the Daily Mail. "The other five are going to be on this special and I am going to introduce them from London," he continued. "I'm doing the play here so I can't be there."

Perry will not attend the reunion because he will be in London at the time.

"Regarding Matthew Perry and the James Burrows tribute, Matthew will not be attending, as he is in London in rehearsals for his play, 'The End of Longing,' which begins previews on February 2 at the Playhouse Theatre," Perry's publicist, Lisa Kasteler, told Us Weekly. "NBC executives were aware of this prior to their TCA announcement yesterday. Matthew may tape something for the tribute. In other words, this is not the reunion people have been hoping for."

Perry's knowledge of "Friends" was also put to the test during "The Graham Norton Show's" quiz on Friday, and the actor did incredibly well.
