Warning: Possible spoilers for "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story"

Though Disney and Lucasfilm's upcoming "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is the first non-saga film in the franchise, that doesn't mean it won't be completely foreign to movie-goers. Despite the all-new and diverse cast (which is quite impressive), fans may possible get one familiar face in the new movie.

It has long been rumored that Darth Vader will have some sort of a cameo in "Rogue One," which takes place in between "Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" and "Episode IV: A New Hope" on the "Star Wars" timeline. Today comes even more evidence to support that rumor.

"The coolest part is we've learned that James Earl Jones, the voice, the heart and soul of Darth Vader will return to speak Darth Vader's lines in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," Jason Ward, Editor-in-Chief of Making Star Wars, wrote. "The Darth Vader we all know from the original Star Wars film is effectively back in look, voice, and spirit. There is still no word on if he has already recorded his lines or will in the post-production phase."

It is unknown what type of role Darth Vader may have in "Rogue One." Some rumors suggest he will be a focal point of several scenes and the main threat looming over our new heroes. Other reports peg Vader as a mere fan-service cameo meant to excite "Star Wars" loyalists but nothing more. Heck, the character's involvement in the film hasn't even been confirmed yet so we have no idea what to believe right now.
