It's a big day for chicken and Shake Shack lovers alike. Shake Shack debuted its latest menu item called the Chick'n Shack and it's the newest fried chicken sandwich on the market, the Washington Post reports.

The chicken is battered and fried before it's topped with pickles, lettuce and a special herb-mayo. It's then placed on a Martin's potato roll, much like other Shake Shack classics.

The Chick'n Shack is available at all locations across the Unites States, according to Eater.

It's priced at $6.29 per sandwich, making it pricier than others on the market, but similar to that of its ShackBurger counterpart.

"The introduction of chicken marks a new era for Shake Shack, staying true to our core menu while continuing to innovate new items our guests have asked for," said Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti.

The Chick'n Shake joins a long list of fried chicken sandwiches sold by competitors like McDonald's and Chick-fil-A, according to Bloomberg, and it's a market Shake Shack hopes to dominate, much like that of the burger market.

The sandwich had its test run over the summer in Brooklyn, and it clearly passed with flying colors. There were a few changes, however, as the original was named ChickenShack.
