Former "Power Rangers" star Ricardo Medina Jr., has officially been charged with the murder of his roommate. Medina was arrested last February for fatally stabbing his roommate Joshua Sutter multiple times with a sword after a physical alteration broke out between the two, as HNGN previously reported. At the time, he was arrested and booked with murder, but the D.A. stopped the case as they did not feel there was enough evidence to charge him at the time.

On Thursday morning, Medina was arrested once again only this time, he was charged with one count of murder after months of investigating, according to TMZ. If convicted, he could face 26 years to life in prison.

Medina is scheduled to be arraigned at the Antelope Valley Branch of the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday, Jan. 19, according to Us Weekly. Prosecutors are asking that his bail be set at $1 million.

Back when the incident first happened, Medina apologized and tried to play it off as self-defense. "I want to say I am very, very, very sorry for what occurred," he told the media shortly after his first arrest, according to People. "I'm very happy to be out of jail and my heart goes out to the Sutter family. Thank you."

Medina is best known for playing the Red Ranger on "Power Rangers Wild Force" in 2002. He later played Deker in "Power Rangers Samurai" from 2011 to 2012.
