The Golden State Warriors continue to be the best team in the NBA as they are 36-2 and on a seven game winning streak. Stephen Curry gets all of the publicity for what the Warriors have been able to accomplish so far this season but Draymond Green has been a huge factor and may be just as important to the team as Curry is. The Warriors know how valuable Green is and they are trying to find time to rest him soon, according to Marcus Thompson of the San Jose Mercury News.

So far this season Green has played in all 38 games for the Warriors and he is averaging a team high 34.9 minutes in those games. Green though, isn't exactly fully healthy as he has been playing through discomfort in both of his legs. When Green is on the floor he is always playing at 100 percent and because of that he is hurting when games are over. Typically in blowout games Green can be seen on the bench in the fourth quarter with his legs wrapped in a lot of ice.

The Warriors are aware of their current situation as they are the best team in the league and they also know that the long-term health of their players is the most important thing. Because of this they plan to rest Green during their upcoming back-to-back set against the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers, according to Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle.

The Warriors have not officially ruled Green out for either of the games yet but it seems like that's the way things are heading. The only obstacle to resting Green for the next two games is him as he reportedly has no interest in sitting out games. The Warriors have said that Green might play in the upcoming back-to-back because there is a chance he could convince them to put him in the lineup.

Green sounds like he is just being stubborn at this point but it seems like the Warriors will not give in on this one as he is listed as doubtful. The most important thing for Green is to be healthy when the playoffs come around and that means resting whenever it's prudent during the regular season. Green is having an All-Star season as he is averaging 15.2 points, 9.7 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game. As of right now Green would be a starter in the All-Star game thanks to fan votes.
