Early on Tuesday, rumors started to spread that Olivia Munn and Aaron Rodgers were engaged as sources had told OK! Magazine that the NFL star proposed during a romantic dinner after getting approval from her family, but once Munn got word of the rumors, she quickly shot them down with a hilarious Instagram post.

The 35-year-old actress posted a screenshot of text messages from her mom congratulating her and wondering why she didn't tell her about the big news first.

"Answering yes or no to personal questions can be tricky because if you say 'No' it means whenever you say 'No comment' that kind of becomes your default yes. But since I'm doing press for the next few days, I didn't want to have to answer the same question over and over," Munn captioned the photo. "So instead, I'm going to let my text conversation with my Asian mom help me out."

In the conversation, Munn responds to her mothers questioning with a hysterical joke. "Oh my god Mom no. You shouldn't believe gossip on the internet," she wrote. "If I was engaged, I promise you'd be like the 8th person to know. Maybe 9th. But definitely way before the internet."

Rodgers has not yet commented on the rumors.
