David Bowie's ex-wife Angie Bowie learned the news of her former husband's death on the set of the popular U.K. show "Celebrity Big Brother."

"Following the very sad news of David Bowie's death, we can now confirm that Angie Bowie has been informed off camera by her representatives," a "Celebrity Big Brother" rep told Us Weekly. "She has taken the decision to continue in the program."

The rep for the show also shared that the decision to stay on the show was Angie's own, but she was "given the option to leave at any time if she changes her mind" and that "appropriate support will be available to Angie at any time if needed."

The 66-year-old former model was brought to tears in a recorded confessional after she learned the news that David had passed.

"I haven't seen him in so many years," said Angie in the preview for the next episode of "Celebrity Big Brother." "I can't make a big drama out of it. I just feel like an era has ended with his passing. I'm so very sad."

"The stardust is gone," she said after she took a couple of seconds to collect herself.

Angie and David were married from 1970 until 1980. The two former lovers share a son named Zowie, who later changed his name to Duncan, according to the Daily Mail.

David passed away at the age of 69 after an 18-month battle with cancer Sunday, as HNGN previously reported.
