A building fire left more than 100 people without power or heat Sunday evening after a fire broke out, destroying electrical panels which had powered the entirety of the Casa Linda apartment complex. Arriving news crews expected to find residents upset about the entire ordeal but it turned out many of them managed to stay positive and even made several jokes about the incident, according to KOTV 6.

Recounting the sound of electrical wires frying, Edward Robinson said, "You could hear 'em poppin'. It actually sounded like the Fourth of July in there."

Centoria Lee and her 9-month-old daughter lost some of their clothes, baby toys and crib after the fire burned the storage unit right under their apartment, but her descripiton of the incident would make it sound like she hardly lost anything at all.

"I heard some noise, but I thought it was somebody drillin'. I seen smoke, so I just wrapped my baby up and went out the door and went to my friend's house," Lee said, according to CBS' Tampa Bay affiliate WTSP-TV.

However, the most colorful statement about the fire and probably the most colorful statement about any fire ever, belonging to Michelle Dobyne whose statement about the fire has gone viral.

She said: "My friend came to the door. I was on the phone, cooking me and my babies some breakfast. And she said, 'Hey, something wrong. It's popping!' I said 'WHAT!' She said 'Yeah!' I said, 'Naw!' So the girl come downstairs, she come out of her apartment with her baby with no shoes on. I said, 'Aw, girl, it's cold outside.' She said, 'Something ain't right!' I said, 'Aw, man!' She said, 'AW MAN. THE BUILDING IS ON FIRE.' I said, 'Naw, what!' I got my three kids and we bounced out, uh uh, we ain't gonna be in no fire, NOT TODAY.'
