Earlier this week, "Harry Potter" actress Emma Watson announced she was starting a feminist book club called Our Shared Shelf. "I want to start a feminist book club but so far have only brainstormed 'Feminist Book Club' and 'Emma Watson Book Club,'" wrote Watson on her Twitter feed Wednesday. "I am almost certain there is a more inspiring name out there.... Does anyone have any thoughts?!"

Watson decided the first book the club will read is "Ms." magazine founder and feminist pioneer Gloria Steinem's memoir, "My Life on the Road," which came out in October 2015, according to Entertainment Weekly.

"It's official - 'Our Shared Shelf' is up and running. First book - 'My life on the road,'" Watson tweeted Thursday.

"I'm reading it with a pen in hand so I can do some underlining and margin writing. Time to make a cup of peppermint tea! It's only two weeks until the last week of this month (e.g discussion time)... Got to get reading!" Watson posted on the Our Shared Shelf discussion on GoodReads.

In order to join Watson's book club, one must register and join the groups page, according to Time. Over 37,000 people have already signed up for the book club, including some big names such as Abby Wambach, Sophia Bush and Kate Voegele.
