Last night's episode of FYI's reality TV social experiment "Married at First Sight" sparked a conversation on Twitter! The newlyweds got through their first holiday together since meeting at the altar, as previously reported by HNGN. Fans tweeted out their comments and reactions to the episode and cast members Samantha Role, Vanessa Nelson and Ashley Doherty responded to criticism about the way their behavior towards their spouses was portrayed.

Samantha Role

Role's relationship took a turn for the better in last night's episode after she talked things out with husband Neil Bowlus, a conversation that was mediated by sociologist and sexologist Dr. Pepper Schwartz. But Role has been very blunt with her husband all season, a trait that resurfaced when she accused Bowlus of being "fake" and confronted him in the couple's kitchen. During the chat with Dr. Schwartz, Role also said she felt "indifferent" about her marriage to Bowlus.

"Not a fan of you THIS episode but I think you're going to surprise us all later. You're super sweet on Twitter. #gotHope," Twitter user @LilMrsKrisB tweeted to Role's official Twitter account.

"I'm not a fan of me this episode either. #DisgustedWithMyself," Role responded, adding a frustrated emoji at the end.

"Sam is still the worst on #marriedatfirstsight," Twitter user @CathyCadenf.

"Sam is all, "I hope he can learn," & "I hope he does". But what about YOU?? What are you going to do differently?? #MarriedAtFirstSight," Twitter user @Naima_Simone.

"I've been married to a guy like @Neil_MAFS  for 19 years. @Sam_MAFS better smarten up or she'll miss out. Best hubs/dad #MarriedAtFirstSight," Twitter user @CanacaGuanaca.

Vanessa Nelson

Nelson and her husband Tres Russell were the first and only couple on this season to consummate their marriage, and they are the only couple who expressed a mutual physical attraction. But Nelson doubted whether Russell was ready to give up his partying ways in order to become a devoted husband in a previous episode and her fear resurfaced when he returned from a night out with his father and uncle and was extremely intoxicated. In a mediated discussion with Dr. Schwartz, she expressed her concern and questioned Russell's commitment.

"Let's relax @Vanessa_MAFS...lol #MarriedAtFirstSight Its just alcohol w/his Dad & Uncle...lol," Twitter user @TellerTeacher wrote to Nelson.

"There's a lot you don't see. And I actually wasn't that upset. Married couples have discussions about everything," Nelson responded.

Ashley Doherty

Doherty got into a fight with her husband David Norton when he called her out for not opening up to him after the pair discussed their intimacy issues with Dr. Schwartz. Doherty has acted cold and distant from Norton since they met at the altar, and Norton has been patient and respectful until he accused Doherty of using the fact that she had to study for a final nursing exam as a "crutch" to avoid having a meaningful conversation with him. Doherty explained her side of the story on Twitter.

"Hub wants 2 talk right after expert visits-I want 2 talk after letting it sink it 4 a bit I know we need compromise," Doherty tweeted.
