Samuel L. Jackson has a well-known voice and knows how to deliver a catchphrase. The actor stopped by "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Monday night, and the host asked him to put his own spin on some of the most famous lines in cinema history.

"The thing about Sam Jackson is that he can make anything his own," Colbert explained. "And I've got a series of catchphrases right here. They're famous catchphrases. They're pre-Samuel L. Jackson, but I believe that if you perform these in your own inimitable way, they will be yours forever, regardless of how they originated."

The star of "The Hateful Eight" started things off with the classic "Gone with the Wind" line "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn!" and "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die," from "The Princess Bride."

Other famous catchphrases the actor read were from "The Lord of the Rings," "Wizard of Oz," "The Graduate," "The Lion King" and of course "Nobody puts Baby in a corner" from "Dirty Dancing."

Colbert took further advantage of Jackson's voice and asked the actor to record his outgoing voicemail message. The host then handed Jackson a card to read, but the actor's voice and way of talking made the message a lot more entertaining.

"Hi. You know who you called," Jackson read. "Leave a message. Maybe he'll call you back. Then again, maybe he won't. That's how life is. Point is, you've done what you can. Have a nice day."
