St. Louis Rams running back Todd Gurley is reportedly expected to miss Sunday's regular season finale against NFC West rival the San Francisco 49ers, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Gurley is officially listed as doubtful with a foot injury, but he has not practiced this week and has been seen walking in a boot, according to NFL reporter Dan Hanzus.

Gurley's rookie NFL season will finish the way it started with him on the sideline due to injury, but what Gurley has done on the field despite missing games is nothing short of incredible. The Rams star running back has rushed for 1,106 yards and scored 10 touchdowns in his first season in St. Louis, and he is arguably the top rookie of the year candidate following the 2015 season.

The Rams used the 10th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft to select Gurley, and while running backs can be found in later rounds, Gurley has proven that he was worthy of the selection. The Rams offense has the worst passing attack in the league and is one of just three teams throwing under an average of 200 yards a game. Despite the lack of a strong passing threat, Gurley continues to produce against defenses that know to load the box and stop the run.

The Rams are reportedly expected to keep head coach Jeff Fisher despite a 7-8 record, as franchise owner Stan Kroenke is focused on moving his team to Los Angeles, according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. St. Louis has won three consecutive games, and despite not having their top offensive weapon Sunday, Fisher will look to finish the season on a winning streak against San Francisco.
