Ohio State star defensive lineman Joey Bosa was ejected from the Fiesta Bowl on Friday for targeting. Bosa led with the crown of his helmet into the chest of Norte Dame quarterback DeShone Kizer, and following a review the officials upheld the ruling ejecting Ohio State's top defender.

The junior defensive lineman's college career is over, as Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer said on Thursday that the top prospect will be playing in his last game at Ohio State, according to Nick Bromberg of Yahoo Sports. Many project the talented defensive lineman to the be the top pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, as he continues to produce despite being double-teamed on most snaps.

Bosa was not the only top prospect to leave the Fiesta Bowl early, as Notre Dame's star linebacker Jaylon Smith exited the game with an apparent knee injury. Smith is consider by some the best-overall eligible player in the 2016 NFL Draft, and is likely to be a first-round selection if he applies for early entry, according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. Smith's knee looked to bend backwards and it appears to be a signifcant injury.

There are still a ton of talented prospects on the field for Ohio State and Notre Dame, but both defenses are clearly not the same without these two dynamic playmakers.
