Mr. Blake Shelton, welcome to the angry bird family! The 39-year-old "Voice" judge and country singer will play the "country-loving" pig named Earl in the upcoming animated "Angry Birds" movie.

"They kept saying, 'More country!'" Shelton told Entertainment Weekly about doing the highly anticipated video game-inspired film. "I felt like I was doing a voice-over for Dukes of Hazzard."

The "Hillbilly Bone" singer has already proven his acting chop in Adam Sandler's "The Ridiculous Six." Shelton will also be pulling double duty, writing a song for the animated movie.

"I can write things about myself and my life. But I don't have a whole lot of experience being shot out of a slingshot at pigs," he said. It's a good thing Shelton is a fan of the game, telling EW, "I wish I had a dollar for every minute I lost playing that freaking game, you know? Well, I guess I do now."

The "Angry Birds" film is based off the computer game with the same name. The film features the voices of Josh Gad, Jason Sudeikis and Danny McBride as the three main bird characters. Bill Hader will voice one of the "evil" pigs. The animated film also features the voices of Peter Dinklage, Maya Rudolph, Kate MCKinnon, Keegan-Michael Key and Tony Hale.

"The Angry Birds Movie" will hit theaters on May 20. Watch the trailer below.
