The "Pokemon" universe is getting ready for a busy 2016 - the game's 20th anniversary. After Nintendo earlier announced the relaunch of the "Pokemon" classics, "Red," "Blue," "Green" and "Yellow" as well as the Pokemon-themed 2DS on Feb. 27, the original "Pokemon" trading card game will also get its re-release on the same day. This means that fans will get the chance to buy the original base set, which will have its first reprinting in years, according to an official statement.

The trading card package will include 60 cards, game manual and a "Pokemon" coin, Polygon reported. The design will be similar to the original batch released in 1996. It is going to cost 1,300 yen (or about $10). There is also optional merchandise that fans can buy with the "Pokemon" deck. The original card shields, for instance, will be available for $6 while a special play mat will be sold for $41, according to Siliconera.

The Pokemon Company has not confirmed whether the trading cards will be available in the U.S. as it has been announced only in Japan. This is the same for the other anniversary releases such as the special edition "Pokemon"-themed Nintendo 2DS. U.S.-based gamers will have to make do with the Virtual Console anniversary titles, which will also be available for download on Feb. 27.
