Days after the latest devices in Samsung Alpha product line was unveiled, fresh leaks point to the clearest insights yet on the widely anticipated Galaxy S7. An internal presentation purportedly show the exact date of the smartphone's market rollout, according to Slash Gear. The leak, which came from an event held by China Mobile last week, identified a February release, which means that the unveiling will happen days before.

The latest leak confirms previous reports about a 2016 first-quarter release. This also reinforces the possibility that Samsung will be announcing the device during the CES 2016 event happening from Jan. 6 to 9. It is also possible that the launch could take place during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona just like how it was for the previous launch of the Galaxy S flagships smartphones, according to Forbes.

However, the event will be held on Feb. 22 and Samsung needs several days for press build-up before the S7 finally goes on sale.

In addition to the release date, rumor is rife that Samsung will have an initial 5 million Galaxy S7 units ready for launch. The massive number of smartphones on stock will allow Samsung to sidestep inventory issues, Android Headlines reported. Indeed, the sales of the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge suffered partly because the company could not meet demand due to the lack of materials, which hampered the manufacturing process. The 5 million figure is said to include both the S7 and S7 Edge devices.
