On the third and final installment of the TLC Duggar family special "Jill and Jessa: Counting On," Anna Duggar got emotional when she visited her and Josh's starter home, Jill Dillard and her husband Derick settled into their new life in Central America with their son Israel, and Jessa Seewald shared the most intimate moments of her home birth as she welcome her first son Spurgeon with her husband Ben.

Even at 39 weeks pregnant, Jessa and Ben were still very much interested in adopting a child, so they invited a couple over for dinner, who had just successfully adopted a young girl from Uganda. The couple answered all of Jessa and Ben's questions, and Ben revealed his aspirations of having a big family of 15 sons. But the couple had to put their adoption plans on hold after they found out they were expecting their first biological child. The agency asked the couple to wait until their baby is nine months old before they continued with the process.

Jessa's sister Jill and her husband Derick expressed their desire to adopt after visiting Mama Carmen's orphanage in Guatemala, where they handed out crayons and coloring book pages to each of the 106 children at the orphanage.

Jill and Derick started language classes when they arrived in Central America, and Jill felt confident enough in her Spanish to volunteer at the local midwife clinic. She learned her main duty as a missionary and a midwife was to educate the people in Central America about pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding as the native people still believed in old wives' tales. While Jill provided care for pregnant women at the clinic, Derick put his language skills to the test at the local street market with his mother Cathy, where he purchased rain boots for himself, his wife and little Israel.

"We came down to Central America as a family of three, maybe we could go home as a family of three or four," Jill said then quickly added, "but I'm not pregnant."

Back at home in Arkansas, Jessa's sister-in-law Anna and sisters Joy and Jana visited to help her prepare some make-ahead freezer meals so that Jessa wouldn't have to worry about cooking after the birth of her first child. Anna got emotional during the visit because Jessa and Ben are living in the same house that she lived in with Josh, the starter home where two of Anna and Josh's children were born. "It was good to be back, I guess, and have some time to look back, " Anna said as she held back tears.

At three days past her due date, Jessa started to feel frequent and intense contractions so she decided to go for a long walk with Ben and her sisters. The walk helped to kick start her labor, and she called on her birth team-which included mom Michelle Duggar-to prepare for birth.

Jessa was still in labor 23 hours later, and even though she moaned and complained about the pain from her contractions, she got up and went on another walk with husband Ben by her side. "Ben was just solid, he was there he stuck by her side. It was really sweet," Michelle said in her on camera interview.

After nearly 48 hours in labor, Jessa finally gave birth to her baby boy, Spurgeon Elliot. But a complication shortly after birth sent her to the emergency room. Jessa had lost so much blood after delivering her son that she needed a blood transfusion. When producers asked her if childbirth was better or worse than she expected, Jessa immediately answered, "Worse! The first thing I said to my mom was, 'I do not know how you did this 19 times.'"

The three-part special ended with a visit from Duggar clan, including Jim Bob and the younger kids, and everyone took turns holding the newest addition to the family.
