"Ender's Game" lives up to the hype as moviegoers are giving positive reviews about the dystopian novel turned into young adult flick. Starring Asa Butterfield, Harrison Ford, Hailee Steinfield and Viola Davis, the film takes you on an adventure critics suggest all kids should see.

RottonTomatoes.com critics with a 61 percent approval rating certified the film fresh, while moviegoers' reviews gave the film a 71 percent fresh rating. Check out what critics had to say below.

The Good: Fox News calls it a must see film for young adults

"Intricately designed and packed with intelligent, impactful ideas, "Ender's Game" is both a lofty science fiction adventure and an excellent anti-bullying parable. Unlike the YA films preceding "Ender's Game," director and screenwriter Gavin Hood strips most emotion from the story until the final moments, therefore creating one of the coldest, starkest and most mature science fiction films for young adults."

The Bad: The New York Daily News slams the film, calling it "dull" and "tedious"

"The insipid, uninteresting boot camp scenes go on and on , and contain an excitement about zero-gravity that would be quaint in a '70s live-action Disney movie...The adolescent actors, horribly miscast as well as misdirected by Gavin Hood (who once made a Best Foreign Film winner, but now makes genre junk like this and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"), fare no better than the adults." (And this is 'nice' compared to the rest of his film's critique)

The People's Verdict: RottonTomatoes.com users say "Ender's Game" is great, but has room for improve

"Ender's Game was a very good movie. Not great, in my opinion, but very good. The plot, and even some of the dialogue, stuck very close to the original book. And I think perhaps that if I had not been such a huge fan of the book, having read it many times in my childhood, I would have been much more impressed by this movie. As with most adaptations, however, the film didn't quite do justice to the genius and complexity of the novel," Jacob S. wrote.

"Even though I didn't read the book, I loved the movie! Super well acting involved. Beat my expectations because sometimes I think kid acting as a serious roll is hard to pull off in a movie. But I loved Harrison Ford (as I love Indiana Jones :] ) this was an overall great movie with a good plot and the ending twist was insane," Nick P. wrote.
