There is something innocent and peaceful about watching a baby sleep. Their little faces twitch, their little lips tremble, their eyelids flutter, but they are away in slumberland. Now imagine all of those characteristics happening with a five-week-old baby and that the baby is a polar bear cub. Yes, she is a beautiful little white teddy bear. We bet her little head smells like baby powder, just like human babies.

Did you just smile? We did when we heard about this video clip - and when we actually watched it, it was even better than we imagined. This little girl is all over the place, fast asleep, cooing, grumbling, moving, twitching, doing baby stuff with a big ear nose, big bear paws and a little bear body.

At five weeks old, the little cubbie is a survivor says USA Today. Born a twin, whose twin didn't make it, then abandoned by her depressed mother, she is being hand raised by caretakers at the Columbus Zoo. At 4 pounds now and measuring 16 inches long, she is smaller than the average human baby too.

"The care staff says the sound that she makes in the video is of contentment," says the Columbus Zoo on their Facebook page, according to Bored Panda. "Her motor skills are improving each day and she has started trying to stand up on all fours, especially when she's ready for her next meal!"

"Polar bears, much like giant pandas, are highly specialized animals that give birth to very small babies which makes them fragile during their first year of life," said Jennifer Wilson, the zoo's director of communications, says CNN.  "Survival rates in human care are around 50% which is similar to that of wild bears."

The little cub will be officially named at a later date; in the meantime we will always have this sweet remembrance of her at just a few weeks old, doing what babies do best, making us fall in love with them.
