Pop star P!nk recently received some backlash online after photos surfaced of her 2-year-old daughter, Willow, riding on a motorcycle without a helmet while carried by her father, P!nk's husband and motocross icon Carey Hart, ABC News reports.

Hart posted the pictures on his Instagram several days ago along with the caption, "Been waiting for this day for a very long time. Willz went for her 1st ride on my motorcycle around the pits today. She was pumped the whole time. When we stopped, she gave me a big hug and said it was fun, thank you Papa. That's my girl."

While many fans found the pictures endearing, others jumped on the famous couple for allowing Willow (who was wearing pink earmuffs) to not only ride on a motorcycle, but do so without wearing a helmet.

"I'm sure it was awesome for both but poppa where's the baby's helmet? Anything can happen at any time, (safety) first," one user wrote, while another tweeted, "Maybe he should take her for a walk."

Another user stepped in to defend the couple, writing, "People act like he was going 80 mph. Ya weren't there were ya? Don't say it wasn't a good idea if you weren't there to see how it went in the first place. I'm sure a handful of ya have done something that wasn't so safe with your own kids."

Fed up with the controversy the photos caused, P!nk (real name Alecia Moore) finally took to Twitter to give her critics a piece of her mind. "If any of u have more experience on a bike than my husband, then I will listen to your opinions on how he should take my daughter for a ride," she tweeted, adding, "I can't promise I will care, but I will listen none the less."

The outspoken star went on to respond to several people on Twitter, including one user who suggested she wait until Willow is at least 16-years-old so she can decide for herself if she wants to ride. "Yeah ok. I've never met you but that's great," P!nk wrote in response, and went on to tweet several other critics with her signature snark.

"Pink's reaction, whether you agree with it or not, is very normal," Ericka Souter of the parenting website CafeMom told ABC News. "No mom wants to be criticized about the way that they parent."

Yesterday, P!nk ended her Twitter rant with the message: "M'kay I'm gonna go now. Gotta figure out what wills is wearing tomorrow for her MANIACAL MOTO MANIA!!!!!! Gotta pack veggies too! Organic!"
