Rick Fox, a three-time NBA champion, has finally been revealed to be the man behind the purchase of "League of Legends" eSports team Gravity, which will be re-branded as Echo Fox and is a competitor at the NA LCS.

When Gravity Nov. 8, listed on Nov. 8 that its spot at the LCS is for sale, the team was purchased around the end of the same month. However, the name of the buyer and other terms of the deal were not disclosed, The Daily Dot reported.

Fox's has expressed interest in LoL eSports even before purchasing Gravity, and he has admitted to being a fan of Counter Logic Gaming's support player Zaqueri "Aphromoo" Black.

"As a professional athlete, businessman and proud member of the gaming community, I see the way that the eSports world is growing and I know we are on the verge of something massive. The opportunity to parlay my experience in sports, entertainment and gaming into a leadership role with Echo Fox is exciting and humbling. This decision is equal parts business and personal for me," said Fox, according to Breitbart.

As the teams gear up for the NA LCS Spring Split, Echo Fox's first major task is to complete its roster, since three of its players already joined other teams - support Michael "Bunny FuFuu" Kurylo has joined Cloud9, while top laner Kevin "Hauntzer" Yarnell left for TSM and AD Carry Johnny "Altec" Ru joined NRG, according to SB Nation.

The two remaining players, Koreans Kang "Move" Min-su (Jungle) and Lae-young "Keane" Jang (Mid), have not signed with other teams but are yet to confirm if they will play for the re-branded Gravity under Fox.

No reports have been made as to who will be helping Fox out in handling the team for 2016, but as a man with an athlete's mentality and training, plus an actual liking for the game, Echo Fox should have the right backing to carry them into the new season, according to another report by Daily Dot.
