As the start of the quarterfinals of the "League of Legends" World Championship 2015 nears, people no longer have to worry about where they can watch the matches, thanks to BBC's offer of live streaming and coverage of the event at London's Wembley Stadium.

The World Championship is an esports event that showcases professional gaming teams from North America, Europe and Asia. It is on its fifth season this year, and the fan base just keeps on growing, with thousands of fans supporting their teams in the event stadiums, while millions more view the action online.

The games start Thursday, Oct. 15, and BBC promises that all four days of the quarterfinals will be covered and aired live on the online BBC Sports platform, which is used for all major live sporting events.

Radio 1 DJ and gamer Dev Griffin will be hosting the coverage, and Julia Hardy will be interviewing players and fans in the arena, with gaming casters Leigh "Deman" Smith and James "Stress" O'Leary offering their expert commentary, according to BBC News.

"We jumped at the chance to collaborate with BBC Sport and bring this massive U.K. event to a wider audience. BBC Three will always experiment with new ways to deliver content that young people want, in ways they want. I think this is an exciting way to cover something millions of young Brits love, in a BBC Three way," said BBC Three controller Damian Kavanagh, according to The International Business Times.

Unfortunately, it won't be televised on BBC Three's television channel as many fans hoped. BBC Three will undergo service rebranding next year and will be repackaged as an online-only channel. With esports as a great fit for the future program, BBC Three took the opportunity to start on it now, reported The Daily Dot.

"League of Legends" will be available in 20 million homes, almost 80 percent of the U.K. population.
