Ty Lawson's Denver Nuggets career didn't exactly end on a great note as he was arrested for several DUI's and fed up the Nuggets to the point that they really wanted to trade him. Lawson was eventually traded to the Houston Rockets but so far that experiment hasn't exactly worked as he hasn't played well and the team is underachieving. Lawson is now expected to be suspended for two games for that DUI back in 2014 and the Rockets are reportedly looking at trade options for the point guard, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports

Lawson has come up in trade rumors a lot through the early part of the season but nothing happened and the Rockets told him they wouldn't trade him. Now though, Lawson is reportedly back on the block and the Rockets seem to be working with his representatives to figure out a trade possibility because the situation clearly isn't working out for either side.

The NBA has not announced the suspension for Lawson yet but it is expected to come at some point this weekend after a recent resolution to the DUI case. Lawson has reportedly been a good samirtan since getting to Houston as he has fulfilled all of his off the court obligations and hasn't had any new incidents but the Rockets don't see him as a fit with their team as currently constructed which is the reason for the trade talks.

Lawson has been moved to a full-time bench role with the Rockets and his minutes have gone way down. Lawson has really struggled to adjust to the Rockets as he is averaging career lows in virtually every category including his 5.9 points per game, 25 minutes per game and his 33 percent shooting from the field.

Lawson is set to make $12.4 million this season and is also under contract for next season but it is non-guaranteed so any team that acquires him could cut him with no financial ramifications next season. Lawson is having his worst year this season but the year before he had one of his best seasons as he nearly averaged 10 assists per game so there may be teams that have interest based on the fact that Lawson has been a borderline All-Star in his career and he may just not be a good fit with the Rockets.

Lawson's off the court issues may give teams some pause but by all accounts he has been fine off the court this season and his value is at an all-time low so he could be had at a major discount. The Rockets, at this point, just want to get whatever they can out of him now while he still has some sort of value.
