Tina Fey and Amy Poehler play sisters in the new film "Sisters," but the two funny ladies have formed a close bond off screen as well. The two former "Saturday Night Live" co-stars dropped by "Late Night with Seth Meyers" Thursday night in anticipation of their new film, which opens today against "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

When Meyers asked Fey and Poehler if they counted each other as work wives, Poehler agreed that they were "common-law work wives."

The two acknowledged that they had shorthand between the two of them and could even talk about other people in front of them and "they don't really understand." To prove their point, the two talked about Meyer's band leader, another "SNL" alum, Fred Armisen right in front of his face!

Later in the show, Fey and Poehler were joined by the rest of the cast of "Sisters," Ike Barinholtz, Rachel Dratch and Maya Rudolph, as well as screenwriter Paula Pell. The cast talked about how it was extremely unlikely that their movie would open at No. 1 thanks to a little film called "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Seth gave each person a chance to sell "Sisters," but they had to use "Star Wars" character action figures to make the pitch.

Poehler had the figure of Constable Zuvio and decided to call out the franchise.

"I have read this guy's name three times. I don't remember it. I don't care! I don't care about Star Wars and I never f--king did! I'm tired of pretending! I'm tired of pretending! I don't care about it," Poehler said. "This guy's face is covered up because he's so embarrassed that he's got to go see Star Wars. He's like, 'Hey, man.' I don't know, just...F--k! I'm so sick of it."

"Sisters" is in theaters now.
