FX has released a new trailer for their upcoming series "American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson," and it includes a dark nod to current celebrity Kim Kardashian.

Robert Kardashian, Kim's father, was a high profile attorney and friend of Simpson's. He can be seen in the trailer, played by David Schwimmer, telling Cuba Gooding Jr.s' Simpson, "Do not kill yourself in Kimmy's bedroom," as the latter holds a gun to his head.

Allegedly, the real-life incident played out in similar fashion, with Simpson threatening suicide while in 14-year-old Kim's bedroom. The event is detailed in author Lawrence Schiller's "American Tragedy: The Uncensored Story of the O.J. Simpson Defense."

"Then O.J. said, 'I'm going to kill myself in this room,' and I said, 'You can't. This is my daughter's bedroom,'" Kardashian told Schiller in a recorded interview before his death. "'My little girl Kim sleeps here. I can't have my little girl in this bedroom, and every time I come in here, I'm going to see your body lying in this. You can't do that.'"

"American Crime Story's" cast includes Selma Blair as Kardashian's wife Kris and John Travolta as Robert Shapiro. The show will premiere on Feb. 2 on FX.
