Melanie Chisholm, also known as Melanie C from the '90s girl pop band The Spice Girls, stopped by The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 Wednesday to perform an acoustic version of the group's 1997 hit song "Too Much," Us Weekly reported. Chisholm, known as "Sporty Spice," gave a striking solo performance of the throwback track.

Chisholm, 41, was dressed casually in a red plaid button-down top and had her short bobbed hair styled in effortless waves in the video posted to the BBC Radio 2 site. She opted for a stripped-down make up look for her appearance, which featured her very own backing full band of acoustic guitars and a keyboard player.

In the original song, Chisholm shares vocal parts with fellow Spice Girls members Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham, Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell, Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton and Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown. But in her acoustic rendition, Chisholm held her own as she took command of her bandmates' parts.

Rumors of  a Spice Girls reunion tour have been floating around for months, and it is speculated that the girl group would tour with '90s boy band The Backstreet Boys. Nick Carter of BSB teased the possibility of touring with the Spice Girls during an October interview with Rolling Stone.

"The Spice Girls tour has been this idea bouncing around for the past year and a half," Carter told Rolling Stone, "and it's something we're still talking about."
