Rapper Azealia Banks was arrested on Wednesday after she allegedly assaulted a female security guard by punching her and biting her breast during a meltdown outside Up&Down nightclub in Manhattan, New York City, according to Page Six.

The 24-year-old "Chasing Time" singer was attending a private party at the club when she got into an argument with the bouncers and was escorted out of the venue shortly after 12:30 a.m.

Banks "became verbally abusive and began to push the victim and bit victim on the breast causing swelling and redness," according to the New York Police Department, E! reported.

Banks was charged with "second-degree harassment for physical contact, disorderly conduct for a fight and violent behavior, and assault with the intent to cause physical injury" which classifies as a class A Misdemeanor, according to People.

Here's what exactly went down before Banks' altercation with the security guard, according to sources: The rapper was apparently refused entry to the party because she didn't have the stamp required for access to the private bash.

However, Banks managed to get stamped and entered the party but took offense to the security's failure to recognize her as a celebrity and an argument ensued, during which Banks spat in the owner's face, which, in turn, led to her being kicked out of the nightclub by the security guard who became the victim of Banks' apparent attack.

This isn't Banks' first run-in with the law. She was under investigation by the LAPD for assaulting a security guard at a Los Angeles karaoke club last month, as HNGN previously reported.
