Japanese retailer Felissimo has developed a new cat-themed product that is designed to blow all other cat-inspired products out of the water. Working with the genius scent-smiths at Yamamoto Perfumery, Felissimo has released a cat-scented perfume, capturing the subtle scents of a cat's forehead, according to Refinery 29.

Yes, that's right. The product allegedly captures the scent of a cat's forehead perfectly.

The perfume, called "Moho Mohu Odeko no Kaori Fabric Water," which translates to "Fluffy Forehead Fragrance Fabric Water," took four months to develop. The fragrance was created based on a combination of customer survey responses and perfumers from the Yamamoto Perfumery, who were tasked to describe the smell of kitty foreheads as accurately as possible, reports Mashable.

In fact, the head perfumer at Yamamoto was even reported to have spent a lot of time in cat cafes around the country to check the similarities and differences between the scent of real cat foreheads and the simulated scent of the perfume.

The product, which comes in the form of a spray, can be purchased for $10.60 through Felissimo's website. It could even be purchased together with a hand cream that is advertised to make human hands feel as soft as cat paws, according to 3 Million Dogs.

Unfortunately, Felissimo is not offering shipping orders overseas. This means that cat devotees outside Japan are still stuck in the age-old practice of burying one's face in a cat's forehead to revel and relish that fresh, sublime, feline scent.

If you think that this is some weird cat-lovers-only trend, that's fine. The "cat ladies" will sit over here away from your Burger King Whopper cologne
