If you love Siri, you'll love SoundHound's newest platform. Soundhound is launching a new Hound app and Houndify platform to add to its well-known music recognition app, according to Tech Crunch.

"Our mission can be summarized in two words: Houndify Everything. Voice interface will coexist with touch and keyboard, but more and more things won't have a touch screen, and you can only talk to them," said SoundHound founder and CEO Keyban Mohajer, according to Fast Company.

Hound was released by the company back in June as a competitor of Siri, which was created as a voice interface to assist users, according to Fast Company. Houndify was first introduced as a beta version, but is now being released as its own platform.

Houndify can be integrated into any apps and programs, according to Business Wire. Expedia and AccuWeather have already signed on to use the voice-recognition features of the new platform.

There are many advantages to the Houndify technology which include voice recognition, natural language understanding, location awareness, and the ability to answer complex questions, according to Business Wire.

The Houndify app is available in both free and paid forms, according to Tech Crunch. Smaller developers will have access to cetain features of the platform for free, while more experienced developers can get access to the platform for $9 per month, according to Fast Company.
