Radio's beloved Shock Jock Howard Stern is making SiriusXM his home for the next 12 years, SiriusXM announced this morning. The iconic radio personality inked a new contract with the satellite radio broadcast service, which means "The Howard Stern Show" will remain on the air. Additionally, Stern will be able to venture into video programming with the company.

"As a broadcaster, it does not get any better than working at SiriusXM and I'm truly excited for the future with this great company," said Stern in a statement. "I happen to think that its best days are ahead. So, if you are not listening to SiriusXM and 'The Howard Stern Show,' then you are really more like a zombie, a rotting corpse monster, living half a life, deadened and blackened inside. It's as if you were still watching black and white television while shopping in actual stores on your way to the post office to fax a memo."

Under the terms of the contract, the 61-year-old will remain on as host and producer of "The Howard Stern Show" for the next five years. The show will continue to be broadcast live on the SiriusXM channel Howard 100 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET, with replays available throughout the day on the same channel and On Demand online via the SiriusXM app.

The former "America's Got Talent" judge will continue to serve as producer of his Howard 100 channel, which includes current and archived episodes of his radio show along with special programming. For the next 12 years, SiriusXM has rights to use his extensive back catalog of content spanning his 30-year radio career. Also included in the contract is a deal for Stern to expand his content by venturing into video. Plans for Stern's video content have yet to be announced.

During an interview with on the Fox News show "Fox and Friends," Stern's wife Beth shared her excitement with her husband's new deal. She said she's happy with the arrangement because it will allow her to spend more time with her hubby.

"You know what, when he was doing 'America's Got Talent' I only wanted him to be home," Beth said during her "Fox and Friends" interview. "So now that he's doing the radio show without 'America's Got Talent,' I think I'm gonna be happy - happier than I have been for the last few years."
