Suicidal and homeless, transgender Stefonknee Wolschtt has finally found her happiness as a 6-year-old little girl, complete with a family that adopted her, according to the Daily Mail. Stefonknee is one of the transgenders profiled in the Transgender Project, outlining her story and how she got where she is today.

In her "other" life, Stefonknee was a man named Paul, married with seven children in Canada, but came out as transgender when he was 46 and not accepted by his family, and his wife told him to stop being trans or leave. He lost his customers, where he worked as a mechanic, due to his transformation. Two suicide attempts and homelessness followed until Paul, now Stefonknee, found acceptance in a transgender community in Toronto.

"I paid a pretty heavy price for transitioning. I've already lost everything, and everything has happened. I'm gonna be me, and I'm gonna show other people that it's OK to be feminine for a guy," said Wolschtt.

The 52-year-old Stefonknee now lives with her adoptive "mommy and daddy" and spends her days coloring, dressing up and playing with their grandchildren.

"But I've moved forward now and I've gone back to being a child," Wolschtt said, according to The Sun. "I don't want to be an adult right now."

"Well, I have a mummy and a daddy," Wolschtt continues. "An adopted mummy and daddy who are totally comfortable with me being a little girl."

Wolschtt feels accepted, having found the LGBT Community welcoming at the Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto, according to The Independent.

"It's called play therapy. No medication, no suicide thoughts. And I just get to play," Wolschtt said about the life she now leads.
