Students and staff at a Florida elementary school were forced to evacuate the building Thursday morning after a pressure cooker was discovered outside the building.

Hialeah Fire Rescue Capt. Cesar Espinosa said the cooker was found beneath a tree around five feet away from the northeast side of Haileah Elementary School located at 550 E. 8th Street, school board officials said, according to CBS Miami.

Miami-Dade police, firefighters and a bomb squad were called to the school, who closed off the nearby street as a safety precaution.

While authorities worked, aerial video footage showed teachers, students and staff gathering outside on basketball courts away from the building, according to the StarTribune.

The bomb squad detonated the cooker but found it to be non-explosive and determined there was nothing dangerous about it, according to NBC MiamiAfter the "all-clear" was issued, everyone was allowed to return to school.

No further details, such as who left the pressure cooker there, were immediately available.
