Irish rockers U2 invited the Eagles of Death Metal onstage with them during their iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE tour stop in Paris on Monday night, the BBC reported. The guest appearance at U2's concert marked the California-based band's first performance in the city since the Nov. 13 terrorist attacks in the French capital, which resulted in a shooting at the Bataclan concert hall during their set, where 90 concertgoers were killed.

"Nothing left except to introduce you to some people whose lives will forever be a part of the city of Paris," U2 frontman Bono said in concert footage obtained by the BBC. "These are our brothers, our fellow troubadours, they were robbed of their stage three weeks ago and we would like to offer them ours tonight."

The crowd at the AccorHotels Arena roared as Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes walked onstage with guitarist Dave Catching. Before the first song, Hughes addressed the crowd, wearing an all-white suit and pink-tinted sunglasses.

"Is everybody here having a good time?" he asked the crowd, to more applause and cheers.

EODM performed a cover of Patti Smith's "People Have the Power" together with U2 onstage, and U2 allowed EODM to close the night out with its song "I Love You All The Time," the Los Angeles Times reported.

U2 was originally scheduled to perform in Paris on Nov. 14 and 15, but the band cancelled its concerts after the Nov. 13 terrorist attacks, as previously reported by HNGN. They performed on Dec. 6 and 7 at the AccorHotels Arena, and the Dec. 7 concert was taped live and shown on HBO on Monday night.
