U2 frontman Bono announced the rescheduled date of the band's Paris concerts that were cancelled after the Nov. 13 terrorist attacks, Time magazine reported. The band's performances are scheduled for Dec. 6 and 7, and the last show will be filmed live for HBO.

"So much that was taken from Paris on the tragic night of Nov. 13th is irreplaceable," U2 lead singer Bono said in a statement obtained by The Los Angeles Times. "For one night, the killers took lives, took music, took peace of mind - but they couldn't steal the spirit of that city. It's a spirit our band knows well and will try to serve when we return for the postponed shows on Dec. 6th and 7th. We're going to put on our best for Paris."

The two previous U2 tour dates for the band's Innocence + Experience Tour were scheduled for Nov. 14 and 15 and the band chose to cancel the shows in respect for those who lost their lives during the attacks, as previously reported by HNGN. More than 100 people were killed on Nov. 13, including 89 concertgoers at an Eagles of Death Metal concert at the Bataclan Theater in Paris.

"We are devastated at the loss of life at the Eagles of Death Metal concert and our thoughts and prayers are with the band and their fans. And we hope and pray that all of our fans in Paris are safe," U2 wrote in a statement, which was posted to the band's official website following the attacks.

The band's Dec. 7 concert will be filmed live at the AccorHotels Arena in Bercy. The concert will be cablecast at 9 p.m. in each time zone where HBO is carried.
