Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood is set to become a father once again at the age of 68. The rocker and his 37-year-old wife Sally Humphreys are expecting twins, and a spokesperson for the legendary rock group confirmed that she is to give birth in June 2016, according to The Sun.

"Needless to say, they are thrilled and overjoyed with the wonderful news," the spokesperson said.

Wood and Humphreys were friends for nine years, dated for six months and tied the knot in London in 2012. The twins will be the couple's first children.

Wood already has four children - Jamie, 41, Jesse, 39, Leah, 37 and Tyrone, 32 - from his previous marriages to Krissy Findlay, who passed away in 2005, and Jo Karslake, according to Us Weekly.

Wood joined the rock group in 1975 after guitarist Mick Taylor left. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, with the Stones in 1989 and with another English rock group, The Faces, in 2012.

Wood isn't the only rock star to have children at an advanced age, with the likes of his fellow bandmate Mick Jagger as well as Paul McCartney and Billy Joel all welcoming children at age 50 and older, the New York Daily News reported.
