The Rolling Stones announced their North American stadium tour, which will be the first time they play at stadiums across the continent in nine years.

"We love being out on the road and it is great to come back to North America," said guitarist Keith Richards in a statement. "I can't wait to get back on the stage!"

The "Zip Code" tour with reunite singer Mick Jagger, drummer Charlie Watts and guitarists Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood.

The tour will start two days before the band's re-release of their seminal album "Sticky Fingers" on May 26, reported The Associated Press.

It's an exciting time for Rolling Stones fans in North America, as the band hasn't toured North American stadiums since 2006. They did, however, tour arena venues for their "50 & Counting" tour in 2012 and 2013.

"We are excited to be back in North America playing stadiums this summer! We are looking forward to being back on stage and playing your favorite songs," Jagger said in a statement.

Tickets go on presale for the tour on April 8 for American Express card holders only and on April 13 for the general public.
