In Theaters (Dec. 11)

"In The Heart Of The Sea"

Chris Hemsworth stars in this film, which is based on the incredible true story about the sinking of the American whaling ship Essex from 1820 that inspired the tale of "Moby-Dick." During its voyage, the crew is shipwrecked at sea for 90 days after its boat is split in half by a large and enraged bull sperm whale. The crew members are eventually forced to resort to cannibalism.

"The Big Short"

Steve Carell, Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling and Christian Bale are four outsiders in the world of high finance who predicted what the big banks, media and governments refused to see: the global collapse of the economy. So they came up with an idea. Their idea, which is called The Big Short, leads them into the dark world of modern banking, where they must question everyone and everything.

"American Hero"

This anti-superhero dramedy stars Stephen Dorff and examines the psychological cost of bearing the burden of having super powers. It follows Dorff's character, who is a man with superpowers who has spent years using his powers to get drugs, alcohol and women, and pretty much failed at everything in life, including being a father. But after coming close to death, he vows to set his life straight and fights crime to clean up the streets of New Orleans with his best friend, who is played by Eddie Griffin.
