Trevor Noah does not like Ted Cruz. The host of "The Daily Show" dedicated a portion of his show Thursday night to expressing his feelings about the GOP presidential candidate, and he did not hold back. Hours after 14 people were killed earlier this week in a mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif., as HNGN previously reported, Cruz announced plans on Facebook to participate in a rally to support the second amendment where he will discuss "the rights of Americans to keep and bear arms" and what he called an "exciting event."

"Yeah, 14 people just lost their lives in a shooting, and Ted Cruz's first thought is, 'Oh, that reminds me, got to send out my invites to my gun party,'" Noah said. "Yeah, that seems like something you'd only do if you were an a--hole."

To credit his point, Noah then played a series of clips that showed both Republicans and Democrats as they discussed their dislike of Cruz.

"Maybe Ted Cruz is the leader that America needs," Noah joked. "He's the first person in recent memory who's been able to unite people of both parties in their hatred of him. And maybe, just maybe for that reason, we might all grow to love him... but probably not."
