It's the last weekend of the college football regular season, and there has already been a ton of reports and news about hirings and firings across the college football landscape. Here is a roundup of major news and reports regarding coaches throughout college football.

Jimbo Fisher Staying Put At Florida State - Fisher reportedly told Florida State president John Thrasher that he is staying put in Tallahassee, according to Tom D'Angelo of the Palm Beach Post. Fisher has been one of the most dominating coaches in college football the past couple seasons and has the Seminoles at 9-2 going into their matchup against the Florida Gators. Fisher's name has been connected with the LSU head-coaching job, but he is reportedly going to continue to build the Seminoles program.

Justin Fuente Will Become Virginia Tech's New Coach - Fuente has turned Memphis into a dominant football program, and now he is reportedly going to become the new head coach of the Hokies, according to ESPN's Brett McMurphy. Virginia Tech head coach Frank Beamer announced his retirement earlier this season, which helped the university plan ahead in searching for a new head coach. Hokies defensive coordinator Bud Foster is reportedly going to continue to coach Virginia Tech's defense, according to McMurphy. Fuente led the Memphis Tigers to a 9-3 regular season record after beating SMU 63-0 on Saturday. Fuente takes over a historic football program and will look to bring the Hokies back to the national championship conversation.

Illinois Interim Head Coach Bill Cubit Agrees To Contract - Cubit took over as the head coach for the Fighting Illini on Aug. 28 after the firing of Tim Beckman. Cubit has led Illinois to a 5-6 record going into Saturday's matchup against Northwestern. The Fighting Illini have earned some signature wins this season, beating both Nebraska and Purdue this season. Cubit has agreed to a two-year $2.4 million contract as their new head coach, according to Sports Illustrated. Illinois has only won two conference games this season, and Cubit will need to improve the team's record if he wants stay there long term.

Tulane Fires Curtis Johnson - The university made the official announcement Saturday morning after losing to Tulsa 45-34 on Friday night, according to Andrew Lopez of the Times-Picayune. Johnson had a record of 15-34 as the Green Wave head coach, and with programs rising in the American Athletic Conference, this seemed inevitable. Tulane sits in last place in the AAC and managed only one conference win this season. With the rise of programs like Temple, Houston, Navy and Memphis this season, the university likely felt it was time for a change.

Hawaii Hires Nevada OC Nick Rolovich - Rolovich played quarterback at Hawaii from 2000-01 before playing football in NFL Europe and the Arena Football League. Hawaii's Football Twitter account released a statement Friday night welcoming back their new head coach. Rolovich had served as Hawaii's quarterback coach from 2008-09 and was their offensive coordinator from 2010-11. The Rainbow Warriors' new head coach spent the four previous seasons as Nevada's offensive coordinator. Hawaii is 2-10 on the season prior to their matchup against Louisiana Monroe on Saturday. Rolovich will have a ton of work cut out for himself turning around Hawaii's program, but he likely has the best knowledge for the job.
