Former Governor of Alaska Sarah Plain dropped by "Late Night with Seth Meyers" last night to discuss a number of topics like Donald Trump and Syria. The one-time vice presidential candidate also opened up to the host about an in person apology that comedian Louis C.K. gave her backstage at the "Saturday Night Live" 40th anniversary special that earlier this year.

Back in February, Palin took part in the special episode of "Saturday Night Live" that also featured C.K. According to Palin, the comedian tracked her down backstage and wanted to apologize for a series of tweets he drunkenly sent out. Plain also revealed that the "Louie" star was also the only celebrity to ever apologize to her in person like that.

"He apologized, and he said never in a million years had he been one to want to apologize to someone," Palin said.

Meyers, who used to be a "Saturday Night Live" castmate and was at the special, attributed the comedian's apology to "the energies of that night" and said that "everybody was in it together."

C.K. has previously been open about the fact that he wanted to apologize to Palin for the series of tweets. "I've never in a million years apologized for anything I've said," C.K. told Howard Stern in an interview, but this time, he said, "Something came over me emotionally."

"I'm not an insult guy, I don't go after people, it's not what I do," he added.
