Former "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" stars Mama June Shannon and Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson recently announced that they would be joining the upcoming season of "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars" as an attempt to fix their relationship problems following the cheating scandal that ended their marriage. While the show will hopefully be beneficial for their relationship, it will also mean that Thompson will be forced to open up about what really went on between the two.

"People are gonna see a side of Sugar Bear they didn't see on 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,'" Shannon revealed to TooFab. "I think the fans are gonna be shocked a little bit, people in the house were even shocked because they were fans of the show. I just told him to go in there and be open and honest, it's not a vacation."

Thompson understands that what he did was wrong, and that this may be the only way to earn back Shannon's trust. "My biggest issue was my cheating," he told TooFab. "I've done that and shouldn't have and I look back on it, I regret it and I wanted to go to 'Marriage Boot Camp' and get the help that I need."

When news broke that Thompson had cheated on Shannon last September, it was because she had found out he was talking to other women on the dating site Plenty of Fish, as HNGN previously reported. His profile had listed him as single, and Shannon had a feeling for a while that something fishy was going on. "It was our last resort," Shannon told People earlier this month about joining the marriage counseling show. "I feel like he had cheated for quite some time, and I needed some answers. It was either you go here or we end our 11 years."

As it turns out, there was a lot more to their split than just the Internet nonsense. "It was really hurtful because one of it was a good friend of ours that we've known for quite some time," June said. "The woman had been to dinner several times...I told him, a lot of times, people aren't liking you for Mike Thompson, they're liking you because, Sugar Bear, you're Honey Boo Boo's dad. You gotta realize who's really there for you, and who's a fanatic and who just wants to say, 'Oh my god, I slept with Sugar Bear.'"

About a month after they split, rumors surfaced that Shannon was dating her ex-boyfriend Mark McDaniel again, and this sparked controversy as he was a convicted sex offender who allegedly molested her daughter Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell when she was just 8 years old. TLC cancelled the family's hit reality TV show after hearing this news, even though Shannon had denied it.

"It isnt true i promise," she wrote on Facebook at the time, according to People. "My kids r #1 priority over anything else and I would never put them in danger period over this or anything else they r my life this is my past I left him 10 yrs ago for it and I wouldn't go back."

Shannon promises to address these rumors with the help of a lie detector test while on "Marriage Boot Camp." "The truth will be revealed about that," she told TooFab. "I wasn't worried because I have nothing to hide. The truth will be revealed about everything. I had nothing to hide going on."
