President Obama advised Americans not to give in to fear despite the ISIS attacks in Paris and Mali. During a speech in Malaysia, Obama said that the United States will not give in to terrorism.

"We do not succumb to fear," said Obama, according to ABC News. "The most powerful tool we have to fight ISIL is to say that we're not afraid, to not elevate them, to somehow buy into their fantasy that they're doing something important."

Obama added that it's vital for Americans to continue their way of life and not succumb to fear in the aftermath of the Paris attacks.  He also pointed out that it was important for Americans to gather in large places like Times Square despite terror warnings.

"I was very proud of the fact that the fundamental nature of America and how we treated each other did not change," said Obama, according to ABC News. "We've made some bad decisions subsequent to that attack in part based on fear, and that's why we have to be cautious."

Obama also wants Russia' Vladimir Putin to help the U.S. fight ISIS. The terrorist group was responsible for bombing a plane that  killed hundred of Russians in Egypt.

"He needs to go after the people who killed Russia's citizens'', said Obama, according to Fox News.

"I think it is absolutely vital for every country, every leader, to send a signal that the viciousness of a handful of killers does not stop the world from doing vital business," Obama continued.

Obama also accused Republicans of fostering anti-Muslim sentiment that aids ISIS. "Prejudice and discrimination helps ISIL and undermines our national security,"  Obama said,'' according to Politico.

Despite the terror threats, Obama said that ISIS will be defeated. "Destroying ISIL is not only a realistic goal," Obama said. "It's gonna get done."
