America's favorite weatherman Al Roker tweeted that a New York City taxi drove past him and his sick son to pick up a "white guy" instead, according to People. Roker filed an official complaint today.

"It is against the law for a taxi driver on duty to refuse to pick you up because of race, disability, or destination within New York City," noted NYC.gov. Passengers can file a complaint against a yellow taxi driver for "refusing your requests, including requests for pick-up, change of radio volume, heat, or air conditioning."

Roker tweeted about how upset he was on Saturday, Nov. 21, reported Us Weekly.

The 61-year-old "Today" star was taking his 13-year-old son Nick to the doctor when the incident occurred, reported NBC. The meteorologist said that when he reached for the door to open it, the driver drove off to pick up a white male passenger a block away.

Roker had to explain to his son that there are some ignorant people in the world.

Roker said he will update his 421,000 Twitter followers on the status of the complaint he filed with the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC).
