Sunday night's American Music Awards was one of the most exciting nights in music! It was a huge night for Taylor Swift, who wasn't there but won three out of the six awards she was nominated for, as well as Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, One Direction and Florida Georgia Line, who all took home two awards each.

The performances were, by far, the best part of the night and with 19 of them, it's hard to pick which were the most entertaining. However, a select few did stand out.

Jennifer Lopez, who hosted the show, started the night off on an upbeat note with an epic dance performance to a mash-up of this year's best songs. The 46-year-old singer got everyone out of their seats and dancing from the moment she stepped onto the stage.

Celine Dion's tribute to the victims of the Paris attack was not only emotional, but absolutely breathtaking. And Jared Leto's powerful introduction to the number had everyone in tears. "Tonight, we honor the victims of the unimaginable violence that has taken place in Paris and around the world. The entire world matters, and peace is possible," said Leto. "[The attacks have] changed the world forever." Dion then performed "Hymne à L'Amour" with a montage of the city's landmarks in the background.

A cappella group Pentatonix performed an awesome rendition of the "Star Wars" theme song with a full orchestra in the background. The performance was introduced by actor Harrison Ford, who plays Han Solo in the popular movie series.

Performances from The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Nick Jonas, Gwen Stefani, One Direction, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato were also some of the highlights of the night, but it was Justin Bieber who really stole the show.

The 21-year-old singer closed out the telecast with a rain-filled performance of three of the hottest songs off of his new album "Purpose" — "Sorry," "Where Are U Now" and "What Do You Mean?" Between his moves and the backup dancers, it was one of the best performances of the night, and the perfect way for the show to end.
