Kayla the Bald Eagle was the source of anger for one British man when violence broke out with local rival U.K. football teams as Crystal Palace hosted their first home game against the Charlton Athletics, according to the New York Daily News. The 34-year old Briton tried to punch the Crystal Palace mascot, landing himself under arrest Friday morning, charged with suspicion of violent disorder and attempted criminal damage.

The majestic bald eagle has been making her appearances during home games at Selhurst Park since 2010, where she flies around the stadium, according to Fox Sports. It has recently been making very high-profile appearances since she was featured on the Kings of Leon's album cover "Only By The Night."

Kayla is based at the Eagle Heights sanctuary in Eynsford, Kent, and made the move from Canada to the U.K. after her previous owners said that the 19-year-old Kayla became too aggressive to remain in that home, BBC News reported

The unidentified man is still in custody at a south London police station, according to Scotland Yard.
