Actor Nicolas Cage helped a Brooklyn, Ohio stepfather spread awareness for the search of his missing 15-year-old stepdaughter Alexis Boroviak, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Cage posed for a photo with stepdad Britt Ramsey and his missing persons sign after Ramsey snuck onto the set of the actor's upcoming film "Dog Eat Dog."

Cage was filming scenes for his film on location in Lorain County outside of Cleveland, Fox News 8 reported. Community activist Angel Arroyo helped Ramsey sneak onto the set and facilitated the meeting.

"We took the picture, he said he hopes for the best and good luck," Arroyo said. "He was truly a nice guy, nothing major. Just trying to do whatever we can to get her story out there."

Ramsey, who is the boyfriend of Boroviack's mother, said that the "Wicker Man" star and father of two took the time out of his busy schedule to pose for the photo and seemed concerned for Boroviak.

"Nicolas Cage stopped and actually looked at the flyer," Ramsey told local CBS affiliate Cleveland 19 News. "And he looked at me and he said 'how long has she been gone?' I said 'a week and a half.'  He said 'I'm sorry to hear that.'"

Boroviak has been missing since Nov. 8 after letting out the family dog. She stands at 5-foot-3, weighs 156 pounds and was last seen wearing lavender pajama pants, gray Nike shoes, a black hooded sweatshirt and glasses.

Anyone with information on Boroviak or her whereabouts should call the Brooklyn Police Department at 216-749-1234.
