Retailers have already revealed their promos for Apple, Samsung and Motorola handsets, among other lesser-known manufacturers for Black Friday. Other big smartphone brands, however, such as LG, HTC and Sony, are still noticeably absent in such announcements. Should fans lose hope that these brands would not join the fray? Fortunately, they can always turn to previous experiences for clues.

The HTC One M8 was made available at Amazon last year for a cent on a two-year contract with AT&T, Sprint and Verizon. Because of this, there is an expectation that the One M9 would also make an appearance at the online retailer and perhaps at Target, which is known for offering really crazy deals, according to Android Pit. True enough, HTC included the handset in its weekly Hot Deals with a killer offer: the One M9 bundled with the Desire 626 and a $100 Google Play coupon. Click this link for more info.

In the case of LG, some low-end devices are already available, such as Straight talk's LG Sunset, which will be sold for $25 down from the original $100 price tag on contract. But there is no news about its flagship devices getting price cuts. Fans could take heart, however, from the fact that LG did offer the LG G3 for one cent last year so there is the possibility that the G4 or the G Flex 2 could be offered with price cuts on Thanksgiving.

Finally, there is the case of Sony. Like Apple, it is known for being miserly in its discounts. For instance, the Xperia Z3 last year only got a $50 price cut. However, there is the fact that the brand is willing to offer a deal. The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is so far the only Sony deal we have discovered, and it will be available at Amazon for $200, down from its original $350 retail price.
