The French police launched 128 anti-terror raids in the early hours of Tuesday, according to Agence France-Presse.

The police raided locations in Toulouse, Grenoble, Lyon, Calais and two suburbs in France.

This comes hours after French fighters staged two massive airstrikes over in Syria as revenge for the attacks in Paris on Nov. 13, which resulted in the deaths of 127 civilians.

French police were able to retrieve a cache of weapons in Lyon, including a rocket launcher, flak jackets, numerous pistols and a Kalashnikov assault rifle.

About 104 people have been placed under house arrest while 23 have been held for questioning, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said, the Daily Mail U.K. reported.

The army general staff of France said fighter jets destroyed a center for training and command during the second series of dramatic strikes in Al-Raqqah, Syria.

French President Francois Hollande called for the United States and Russia to join forces in terminating ISIS. "France is at war against militant Islam," Hollande said in front of members of Parliament at the Palace of Versailles, Sky News reported.
